I am Carole Partin, a candidate for State Representative in House District 47. I have been an active Democrat for years. For the past 6 years, I have served as the President of the Pueblo Education Association, representing Pueblo City Schools’ teachers. I am a 30 year veteran of the Pueblo public schools classroom. As a candidate, I am proud to announce the support of Buffie McFayden, who has so ably represented us in this seat for the past 8 years. The Colorado House Majority Project has also declared its support for my candidacy, as have many local leaders and precinct chairs.

I am running for this office because I believe I can best represent District 47 needs, its people and its issues in and to the Colorado Legislature.

• JOBS – we must find and create well paying jobs with fair benefits
• PRISONS – we must adequately staff and support public prisons
• EDUCATION – public education must be supported and funded for all. We can’t have a great state economy without great K-12 and higher education
• PERA – we must safeguard our state retirement system as a defined benefit plan; we have more PERA recipients here than in any other area of the state.
